Practice shows that cheap motels exist. Actually, most of them which are the cheapest ones are very poor, like student`s hostels. According to recent studies «Trivago Hotel Price Index», prices for accommodation in British hotels an average of seven per cent lower than in hotels of other European cities. Thus, the daily accommodation in a standard room for two in the current month in a European hotel, with the exception of Britain, would cost travelers about 100 pounds, while prices for similar accommodations in hotels of the United Kingdom make up about 93 pounds.
It is noted that this year the cost of standard double rooms in Manchester has fallen by 22 percent and was 78 pounds compared to last year, when it amounted to 143 m pounds. The most expensive British hotels are located in London, Oxford and Newcastle, where the average price of 131, 111 and 104 pounds respectively. The cheapest hotels were named Coventry, Sheffield and Blackpool, offering to stay in similar rooms for 71, 70 and 60 pounds respectively. Compared with England the price of hotel accommodation in Edinburgh fell by 25 percent. In Aberdeen, Scotland, the average price is kept at 106 pounds per night.
Also note that in some countries outside the United Kingdom living in hotel rooms was also cheaper, although to a lesser degree. Thus, the average stop in a double room in Barcelona this June was 102 pounds, which is 18 percent below last year’s price of 16 pounds. In a Madrid hotel you can stop for the night, paying 88 pounds, while last year these things fun would cost 108 pounds.
The most expensive hotels in Europe are still hotels in Geneva, where double rooms cost an average of 186 pounds. The cheapest motels are recognized in Granada, where you can stop paying 64 pounds.
